November 5th 2025 - A heads up to everyone. Our final meeting of this year (1st December 2025) will include our annual bring & buy event where you can take the opportunity to thin out that "shelf of shame" in time to build it back up in 2026! All that's asked is for a 10% commission fee from any sales that will go straight into club funds. All are welcome to attend where there will be tea, coffee and snacks to get us in the mood for Christmas🌲
November 4th 2025 - Some of the club members attended the 2-day Cardiff Model Railway Show . A very vibrant and well attended event where they met a great many new modellers. The pictures and a YouTube video link can be found here.
November 3rd 2025 - The club had a recent run-out to the Malvern Hills Model Show - you can find the pictures in the Gallery.
October 14th 2025 - We've added the "What 3 Words" locations to our monthly meeting and annual show venues 😀
October 11th 2025 - The club put on a display at the REME Museum Model Show in Lyneham. A great show with a fascinating backdrop of military vehicles and historical displays. A good time was had by all!
October 10th 2025 - Paul Gandy had several photographs of his finished diorama that didn't make the final build report. You can enjoy them here, in a gallery on our members models page.
October 9th 2025 - A momentus occasion!! The final part of Paul Gandy's epic Castlemartin Range diorama has landed! Check it out in our Build Reports
October 8th 2025 - Some new member models have been added by Mike Gill. Mike has written two pamphlets on the building of these models and other British military railway models - British Military Railway Modelling in 1/76 scale, 1939-1945 Part 1 and British Military Railway Modelling in 1/76 scale, 1939-1945 Part 2 - which are both available for purchase. October 6th 2025 - We nearing completion now! Part Eight of Paul Gandy's ongoing build report of the Castlemartin Ranges Diorama is now live!
September 29th 2025 - Saturday 27th September, three of the club members attended the Haverfordwest Gamers Show at Haverfordwest Cricket Club. It was just over 90 miles to get there, which took them one and three quarter hours, but it was something different, and it was good to be supporting another model making and wargaming club here in South Wales. September 23rd 2025 - Part Seven of Paul Gandy's ongoing build report of the Castlemartin Ranges Diorama is now live!
September 12th 2025 - The September 2025 edition of Dragon magazine has just hit the "Shelves" and will be be distributed to subscribers over the coming days/weeks😃
September 10th 2025 - Another new build report has landed. The veteran Tamiya 1/35th kit of the Panzer II by Tim Colman
September 3rd 2025 - The club's in-house magazine - The Dragon - was first produced in 1984, and from then right up to June 2001 it was printed on photocopiers, one in a shop in Bridgend, and then later by paying Merthyr Tydfil Council, who Paul Williams used to work for. This stayed as A5 size right through to March 2008 when we changed to the current A4 size, and then in December 2004 we transferred the printing to Edson Print in Barry who we have used ever since. August 12th 2025 - Two new galleries added from shows that took place earlier this year. The Gloucester IPMS Show and the Yeovil IPMS Show.
August 11th 2025 - Three new items added -
First some reference pictures of a Mk2 Ferret at the Gloucester Regimental Museum, Gloucester. Supplied by Adrian Woods.
Secondly, we have part three of Paul Gandy's Castlemartin Range diorama build report.

August 7th 2025 - Two new resources added - Pictures of Comet Tank wrecks from the coastline near Mablethorpe and the Cobbatton Combat collection and an M60A3 that forms an American Legion memorial in Brockway PA.
In addition there is are the pictures from the North Somerset IPMS Show in July added to the Gallery.
August 6th 2025 - We've added a gallery from the MAFVA Nationals which took place in June this year. Our club had a small stand there but still managed to pick up two Golds and a Bronze in the national competition.
August 4th 2025 - Check out the gallery to see the what was on show at this year's IPMS Avon Model Show.
This was our club's biggest ever turnout with a full 18 foot display of models from 13 members!
An excellent venue with a truly wide variety of models exhibited. Also a good selection of traders offering both tools, materials & above all....kits!
July 2025 - The latest edition of our club magazine, The Dragon, is now available. The subscription fee is £10 for club members and £12 for non-club members, £16 for outside the UK. The Dragon is an entirely voluntary subscription and club members do not have to join it if they do not want to. There are currently 42 subscribers to The Dragon.
